Murder Mile Walks is thrilled to announce that, barely six months since conception, having fought to be recognised as "bold", "original", "different" and one of the best "curious, quirky and unusual things to do in London", that Murder Mile Walks has been praised by the illustrious Time Out Guide as "one of the three best themed walks in London".
And yes, we're blushing. To say we're absolutely delighted is an understatement, as it's truly fabulous to be recognised for all the hard-work we've* put in, having stuck to our guns since day one to deliver (what one of our customers recently described as) "definitely one of the best walks in London". But for us, the recipe for a successful walking tour has always been a simple one:
Currently, Murder Mile Walks has 70+ five star reviews on Google, Facebook, Time Out and TripAdvisor, with a wealth of glowing reviews, many of which you can read here. It's at this point we'd like to say a big thank you to those who made this accolade possible - the customers. Thank you for being brave, bold, crazy, fun, clever, strange, weird, wonderful and - best of all - blessed with a very dark sense of humour. Thank you all. Mx
Here's Time Out's senior staff writer Ashleigh Arnott's article in full - "Enthusiastic host Michael Buchanan-Dunne leads the grisly-minded on a two-hour stroll around Soho, revealing the actual facts behind headline grabbing deaths and lesser-known horrors that have been swept under London's seedier carpets. Though his jokey approach can feel a little too close to the bone (as it were), it's always apparent that that Buchanan-Dunne's tone makes light of the gore rather than the tragedy, and he has a real talent for digging out the interesting (and often grim) details of the stories he's researched so thoroughly, making his story-telling memorable even if you've already read a fair few serial killers' Wikipedia entries. This tour is no exercise in - well - exercise, but it's definitely guilty of uncovering central London's most interesting real life crimes". - Taken from Time Out #2389, with the original review here.
* I say "we", it's actually just "me", I do everything myself, but I'm too modest to admit that.
Michael J Buchanan-Dunne is a writer, crime historian and tour-guide who runs Murder Mile Walks, a guided tour of Soho’s most notorious murder cases, hailed as “one of the top ten quirky & unusual things to do in London” and featuring 18 murderers, 3 serial killers, across 21 locations, totalling 75 deaths, over just a one mile walk.

By far my favourite true crime podcast - I even enjoy the 30 minutes of waffle at the end, who knew that the activities of a coot could be so entertaining.
